About the event
Raised in South Detroit, MELØ grew up immersed in a vibrant sonic crossroads where techno, punk, and alternative culture collided. After years of creating music privately, a pivotal moment of clarity compelled him to step forward—bringing his songs to life and sharing them with the world.
MELØ’s music lives at the intersection of retro-futurism and indie pop, drawing from the emotional depth of 1980s new wave while avoiding trendy production shortcuts or nostalgic clichés. The result is music that feels cinematic, mysterious, and accessible—rooted in memory yet firmly grounded in the present.
His debut full-length album, Songs from the Spirit Box (2024), introduced his sonic identity to a global audience. Featuring standout singles such as “Don’t Feel a Thing,” “Gone Forever,” “King of Nothing,” “Glitter,” “Only the Lonely,” and “Paralyzed,” the album earned international radio play and resonated with listeners worldwide.
